TP-LINK TL-WN822N 300 Mbps High Gain Wireless USB Adapter

I had bought a Asus USB-N13 USB stick to service my wireless needs but even from a distance of 14 feet (and a wall separating the room), I used to get around 70-80% network strength. With the TP-Link USB adapter, I get a 100% network strength. File copying speeds are a constant 6-7 MBPS, which is quite close to LAN speeds. I am very satisfied with the product and highly recommend it.

If you look at the bottom of my device and read below the barcode (in fine letter) there its written ver3.0,yes there existed versions before and it is extremly important for Flipkart to mention that in product description page. If you are wondering why?apart from the device manufacturer the chipset is very important for compatibility with Operating System's like Linux and espacially if you are intersted in Wireless Security (for Packet Injection Feature's). Its not the case that the device does not work with Linux ,it works fine but not as good as it should.For you information - DEVICE CHIPSET TP-LINK TL-WN822N ver1 Atheros AR9001U-2NG TP-LINK TL-WN822N ver2 Atheros AR9002U-2NG TP-LINK TL-WN822N ver3 Realtek RTL8192CU While working in Winows 8.1,i have to say it works well. In the same room in a WLAN network transfer rate from is above 50MBps and if you move 4-5 rooms away at say 20m and 4 walls data transfer is above 10MBps well this is a simple rule of and that if you need good range external antenna is the way to go. The only thing that dissapoints me that is the WPS button on it got loosen after some days of use now it feels like a cheap toy.

Started performing really good out of the box. I am using Windows 8 but this didnt need the driver update at all. Still i went to the TP-Link website and downloaded the beta driver and installed it. Didnt notice any difference though. Anyways, it comes with a long wire cable for connecting to the computer. The performance is pretty stable till now and just like it's supposed to be. And honestly, the device looks kinda cool. :-) Flipkart did a fine job in delivering. I live in Kolkata. It delivered me this thing within 4 days of placing the order along with a bunch of other things i ordered.
