Power Smart Universal Battery Charger with AA/AAA, 9V, C and D Size Camera Battery Charger

Excellent product

I purchased this product in February. It worked very well and could recharge 4 AA cells and a 9 volt battery at a time, with all its red LED lights on when plugged into the power mains. However, after 15 days it suddenly stopped working (its red LED lights still blazed but no charging took place. When I took it to a downtown repair shop, they told me, this contains a PCB which had burnt out. And spare PCBs aren't available as it is Chinese made. So I lost Rs 700 on this. DON'T BUY. IT IS A CHEAP CHINESE IMPORT AND NOT DURABLE AT ALL !!! And no, I didn't buy this from Flipkart but some other online e-tailer.

Used it to charge 9V Tuscan batteries. Works great and charges 250 mah in about 9 hours CONS: You would expect it will turn off after charge is done, but it does not. Its NOT a Smart but a Dumb Charger (aka Manual Chargers). These chargers never stop. The user manual will estimate how long you should leave various size batteries in for, and you're supposed to take them out exactly after that much time has passed. Since every battery is different, no matter how diligent you are, you'll either undercharge or overcharge your batteries this way. Undercharging means you get less run time, and overcharging means you reduce the batteries' cycle life. On two occasions my 9V batteries have been charged to 11V! I did not find any battery tester/discharger function, seems like I got something else than what I ordered Pros: Plastic/Holder's build quality is good.
