V-Guard VG 50 Voltage StabilizerGrey

V-Guard, the name you can trust! Period. This is a very good stabilizer but I would not recommend it for refrigerator. why? This particular model VGSD 50 (Super Deluxe) just switches on the very instant it get power. Although the output is regulated, my Frig wouldn't take it. Thankfully i had the other VG 50 normal version of this, which has a 2-5 minute delay, before it gives output. That is more versatile and the Frig is happy now. My frig, had the issue where high voltage fried its temperature regulator & thermostat timer. With the VGSD50 the problem was still there. but after i replaced it with VG50, its behaving well. So far.

I don't know nobody indicating output voltage limits with respect input mains variations. but everybody says it is suitable tv or ac or frig. etc In my opinion every mfr encashing built in specs. sometime i feel instead stabilizer , if we have undervoltage/ overvoltage cutoff with timer is good.

I had ordered 2 stabilizers of V Guard - one each for TV & Fridge. Flipkart sent a seal tampered one the first time yesterday & on asking for replacement very amusingly sent the same tampered product the 2nd time today. I can make out that the components are loose inside, based on the sound they make even when the product is slightly moved. Just goes to show how these guys are compromising on product quality in the name of quick delivery service. The retailer happens to be W S Retail, which on a previous occasion had sent me a faulty Sony Xperia L mobile!! This i believe is also leading to disrepute for V-Gaurd, a brand i have been using for quite a few years now. By the way, the 2nd stabilizer i received was sealed but the manufacturing date shows that it is almost 8-9 months old.
