Even though I love & live Samsung, here are some of my major disappointments with the new Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge. 1.) No MHL 3 / HDMI support(Like Note 4) Means you cannot connect your phone with TV THROUGH HDMI PORT and enjoy its content via screen mirroring. (Please Note: Wireless Screen Mirroring still works, but MHL is far better especially when you play high frame rate games, where frame drop can make you lose the game, also using Wi-Fi with MHL is not a problem as in case of wireless connection) Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge does NOT have MHL 3 or any MHL at all. It has been erroneously mentioned in SamMobile article (Reasons to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Galaxy S6 or S6 edge). 2.) No USB 3 or USB 3.1 & also No USB type C Many would argue that USB 3 was big and clunky, but Samsung could have provided USB 3 or even faster USB 3.1 with a USB type C connector. It is reversible, faster and can carry MHL 3 for streaming 4K to your TV. Phones with such features have already hit the market.(USB 3.0 was present on Note 3 & S5) 3.) No IP67, No Dustproofing & No Waterproofing(Was present in Galaxy S5 & Sony phones) 4.) No user removable battery. 5.) No MicroSD card slot to expand memory. 6.) No Glove Mode or way to increase screen touch sensitivity(Was present in all flagship Samsung phone till now) 7.) No LED Notification indicator menu LED notification indicator is present, but the menu to customise is now absent. 8.) Smaller Battery than S5. 9.) Another BIG Drawback / Con is increased length of the phone. Its 143+ mm, while the S4 was very compact in dimensions. S4 was about 136+ mm in length. Believe me, it does make a difference in handling & keeping it in the pocket. 10.) It is not a durable phone, at-least not as durable as previous flagship phones from Samsung. This is amply clear from various drop tests. Hope Samsung incorporates these features in the upcoming Note 5 and S7.

This is the best android phone ever and this is the first time an android phone beats iphone in literally all aspects I mean android phones were always better in terms of specs. However due to optimizations in IOS, iphone was beating better in certain things like camera, build quality, overall software experience. However Samsung has changed that. It has the most premium build (A little bit fragile though I have to admit) but when you put it in your hands it feels so luxurious. They have put a lot of heart in the camera and for the first time a phone has a better camera than Iphone. There are so many features like slow motion video recording, wide selfies, virtual shots, selective focus and many more. Low light photography is amazing and it takes less than a second to open camera app and click photos. I was wondering how I am going to cope with TouchWiz when I am so used to of Stock Android on my Nexus 4. However they have cleaned it a lot. An the theme engine gives you such beautiful accessories to decorate your screen, you would forget about stock android (Although I have kept the Google Now launcher as default to have default voice search on home page and cards flashing from Google now). Super Fast processing, Wireless & fast charging are awesome. Sound quality is tremendous. Most appealing feature is the screen and the edges on the screen. It feels so premium, I have not seen a thing like this before. Its crystal clear and everything looks beautiful. Edges, even though are not very helpful as they offer only couple of features like night clock and edge contacts, look stunning and give a very unique feel to the device which you are not going to get elsewhere. Only concern is the battery backup which is not great. On busy days you might have to charge your phone twice. There are a few workaround though like keeping brightness to pleasing level, installing greenify to hibernate apps, not syncing everything from your secondary gmail accounts and disabling useless apps like OneNote and Galaxy Apps. This gives around 1.5 days on single charge. Note - I am not a Samsung fan but I am a Android guy. I have been waiting for the right hardware which complements extraordinary android. I was not so sure about Samsung because previously they have released a lot of crap. However I did my research and this is the real android phone which I was looking for all along. If this phone was released by HTC or as Nexus, I would have bought it next day of launch. But with Samsung I waited to make sure I am investing money in a thing that I really want. This is a real gem and no matter what Samsung has done previously, they should be appreciated for their effort this time. No brand biasness
