Guys, Flipkart is sending android version of same phone by mistake. They have returned my product while it was in transit. For this mistake of Flipkart, why are we rating the phone low? its not even released and no1 ever got this phone in hand once. Simply rating it low doesnt do justice. I wish those who got the android version in hand had put a hands on video or pics in youtube so that other can get a sense of build quality of the phone. Lets get creative and useful through reviews, not just blame the phone for flipkarts mistake. If any1 is still having the android version unreturned, requesting him to do a quick video review on build and camera quality which will help new buyers. Thanks

I think I am the first one who got the XOLO win q900s in flipkart!! absolutely no problems with this phone and very very light!!!

Pros: 1. Super light 2. Awesome display 3. Gaming experience is so cool 4. Touch experience is amazing 5. OS 8.1 is amazing from MS 6. Apps can be installed in SD card 7. Superb processor. Does not lag at all. Cons: 1. Avg battery 2. Wifi range is not more than 6m. 3. poor OEM support I recently transferred my apps to the phone but after some 3 days of use, the phone frozen and the apps inside SD card got corrupt. 2 times it has happened since last Windows update. The card probably got corrupt. Because phone apps were fine. I am replacing it. will see if the problem resolved. Overall good value for money. The review is written after use of 10 days.

I am using this phone and i think its better than lumia phones. its super light and very good looking, the only drawback i found is that currently it is not having automatic brightness but it has ambient light sensor which is required for this feature (may be its available after update) otherwise its the best windows phone at present even under Rs15000. GO FOR IT

The product is an Android Phone and Not a Windows Phone. The Flipkart Support assured me that I would be receiving a Windows Phone, but still I got Android. This is deliberate lying.

XOLO win q900s is a super-light smartphone, loaded with 8.1 Windows os. I have been using the phone for almost 1 and a half year. Contents of the box: Handset, battery, earphones, flip-cover, back-cover, charger, screen guard. Camera: Back camera: 8MP Good camera in natural light (you need a still hand to capture), you can change focus where you want, flash is useful only for dark places. Camera options are same as it is in Lumia phones, but none of the photo editing options (except crop, rotate, fix) are available for photos. Front camera: 2MP: No flash in front, hence low-light pictures are not good. But natural light photos have good clarity. Screen: Resolution is great! 312 ppi. You can magnify screen and even zoom in or out. Performance: 1GB RAM: Apps sometimes crash due to bugs, and large apps take some time to load. Few apps are Lumia exclusive and hence won't be available for this device (P.S. Truecaller and other apps that try to access call data cannot work on Windows because Windows OS does not allow third-party to access calls.) The phone hangs when you try to do far too many things at once. (While using mobile internet 3G speeds for a long period of time, the SIM Heats up.) Touch: You'll get used to using the touch, though others will take time. Battery: 1800 mAh battery. Using high speed mobile network internet and/or using gaming apps drains the battery. Methods of saving battery:- 1. Choose which apps should run in the background (and don't allow Whatsapp to run in the background, unless you're a social butterfly). 2. Switch off mobile internet when not using it and switch to 2G speed for general use (while using 3G, use WCDMA SIM slot, not GSM). 3. Don't use phone while charging. Storage: Windows uses around 3.6 - 4.2GB internal, so you have around 3-4 GB usable. External storage available. Sound: Sound is clear through Earphones, but using the inbuilt speaker for very loud music doesn't sound as clear as it would with lower volume.

Window OS is not activated so and help from BOTH MICROSOFT as well as XOLO to activate windows os in phone. Due to this i am not able to install any software or access to Store. Also after two months speaker not working.

WOW after reading all these complaints I'm glad I didn't purchase this device! I don't think its flipkart's fault they cannot open the box & test phone & give it to customers..The main culprit here seems to be XOLO. This company just lost all respect from me..just shameful by XOLO!! Windows Phone 8.1 is a great platform & I suggest to everyone wanting to switch too it to please wait a while for more phones to come out. WP 8.1 is VASTLY superior to android. I have Lumia 820, Galaxy S4, Blackberry Z10, iPhone 5S & Nexus 5...and Lumia 820 is butter smooth with WP 8.1 developer preview. Galaxy S4 & Nexus 5 with such powerful CPUs still have such horrible lag & some apps & games force closing too at times at least 1-2 times a day..never had such problem in iPhone or Windows Phone..or even BB 10. Out of all OS's I've used I pick WP 8.1. It is just a breath of fresh hair instead of seeing those usual lame icons everytime! And did I mention you can install apps on SD card?? So even with a 4GB or 8GB device you can play/install many big games! It doesn't become worthless junk like android where a 8GB device only gives you 4GB user space! All Windows Phone support 64 GB+ microSD cards with exFAT format. Remember this exFAT! 90% android phones with microSD card slot only support 32GB coz they can only read FAT32 file system. FAT32 you cannot put a single file larger than 4GB on the microSD card. No such problem with exFAT! You can opt for a Lumia device you won't be disappointed but please pick a 1 GB RAM device (some games refuse to run on 512 MB device of Windows Phone. Problem is not with the platform but with the lazy developers coz they cannot force ads down peoples throats like on Android to make $$ & unlike iOS which dummies use & always pay for in-app purchases! Developers mostly run where the $$/install base is. Soon Windows Phone will too give them the fruit but we must support it! Microsoft has done a great job with this OS & am surprised & happy that Microsoft didn't lose their dignity by forcing ads down peoples throats or started giving money to top app developers to make apps but instead chose the consumer to buy their device & let developers make apps the normal way) Please do not go for HTC Windows Phone 8X or 8S devices they have OEM driver problems & people are unable to install WP 8.1 developer preview on it let alone the official update! HTC has also confirmed that 8S will never get it coz they don't have resources! Only 8X will get it officially by September end. Hope this helps & you can make the right choice!
