    beast of camera phones

My favourites while selection were iphones 6s, galaxy s6 edge, g4, one m9 plus. Pros: 1) Camera: z5's 23mp produces 100% pure natural colours in daytime. Its photo quality in auto mode is the best for daytime photos. Its wide lens produces very accurate images of objects even 35-40 metres away, as it got lossless image processing tech. I was bit worried the small flash won’t help even a bit for night photography. But Z5 produces marvellous images even in too low light (even in 20% of lighting). I compared my friends 6s, s6 with z5, and both can’t even match to 50% of this phones quality. This phone is the most best for wildlife photography. Took this phone for my friend’s wedding, and a highly reputed photographer from Bangalore who was doing the wedding coverage was amazed at z5’s camera quality after he clicked some pictures. Its 4k recording is beast. Did 10mins of 4k recording with phone getting light warm (not hot). Get some image samples from internet and verify yourself. 10/10 2) Build: Very Premium build. Never compare z5’s build with others. The phone gets warm on heavy usage, because of its tight packaging. It cools off immediately as it got heat pipes and thermal paste applied over processor. 10/10 3) Battery: The phone was discharging very fast after 1st charge. Lasted only one day (may be due to firmware update). On 2nd charge, watched movie for 2.5 hours, listened to music for 4 hours, browsed for around 2 hrs, took around 9-10 snaps with flash and had a talk time of almost 45 mins, But phone had discharged to only 47 %. Battery lasts easily a day even on heavy usage. On slightly above normal usage it lasts 1.5 -2 days. 10/10 4) Colour: I bought graphite black. In image it seems to be dull coloured. But in real, black is awesome. Even gold is awesome. 5) Sound: Phone got dual speaker both at the top and bottom (front of phone). The sound is very crisp and bass effect is good. Due to the speakers, the phone size is bigger.10/10 6) Display: The display is too crisp compared to other phones of same size. And colours are natural (10/10). 7) Performance: Since my first usage, none of the apps ever hanged. Played all high end games, but after playing for around 20mins, the phone gets warm to hot. But it cools down quickly once app is exited. Don’t go with benchmarking as this is a 3gb model. 9/10 Cons: 1) Only while updating phone for the first time, it heats up a lot. 2) Phone gets warm (not hot) on heavy usage. 3) Pricy but not too pricy when taken its feature into consideration. If govt reduces tax the phone might cost less.

My seven days with this phone

Following are my observations/views: 1 Dual sim ( dual sim option is rare in High end phones in India) ( i bought because of this) 2 Premium look 3 Heats up (it is made airtight for waterproofing) Software updates may improve heating issues 4 Ringer is not so high. ( in traffic we may miss ringtones) Not an issue 5 Battery lasts for one day only even with 2G network ( may be improved by updates) 6 At software level features are not large as compared to Samsung phones of same level 7 23 MP camera. (It has G Lens) It is not as great. 16 MP cameras from other phones may have good result over this. 8 It has dual sterio speakers ( top and bottom) 9 Sound quality is good. 10 Finger sensor works great. (at present we can not use app lock that uses finger sensor in this phone) However Android 6 (Marshmallow) will have finger sensor in OS. So third party application will be available I will update my new experiences soon Second Update: I have been using Xperia Z5 Dual for the last 9 months: 1. Marshmallow has opened its finger sensor to many third party applications. ( I am using Lockdown Pro for apps lock) 2. Battery lasts longer now. 3. Ringer loudness is sufficient. 4. Camera quality is also increased. 5 Heating issue is not much. As as whole phone is worth to buy ( price also slashed). It looks quite premium in hand. I dont like four corners of the phone. These are of polycarbonate. The edges of corners from the back of the phone has given off their golden color.

The Best Premium Phone Ever - The Pros and Cons

Pros: 1. The Matte Finish of the screen and Glossy Back makes the Design Perfectly premium. 2. I am a Photo-Freak and Loved the SLR equaled 23MP Camera. 3. Snapdragon 810 Octa Core packed with 3GB RAM make it a beast. 4. Water Proof, FingerPrint and what else would you need !!! Awesome. 5. One of the only Dual SIM Supported Premium Phones. Cons: 1. Heating issues are lesser compared to my Xperia Z1 but still heats up a little too much on heavy usage. 2. Takes great selfie shots but no Flash on the Front Camera is a Drawback. Overall I loved it soooooo much...

One week with xperia z5 dual

First of all flipkart did a great job with the delivery of this product. Placed the order and received the product on the same day. Here are my reviews after using this phone for almost a week -The phone is superfast. I haven't felt any kind of lag or slowdown yet even while multitasking and having almost all the apps open in the background. - The rear camera is the best sony has come up with so far. The autofocus is really really fast. Takes amazing pics however still struggles in low light. -The front camera could do a lot better. Being a 5mp sensor it doesn't do that much justice plus it takes a second or two to actually capture after u have clicked, so u will need to stay still for somtime. -The battery lasts for about 10-12 hrs on heavy usage and for upto a day and half on moderate use. Takes about 1.5 hrs for a full charge from 0-100%. -The phone does heat up while charging or playing games but i guess thats quite common on all the z series. Nothing to worry according to sony. - The dual speakers will give u a sharp and crisp sound while playing music and it is loud enough so u wont miss a call even in heavy traffic. - The phone does have a premium look and feels rich in the hand however its quite slippery and needs to be handled carefully. Fixed myself with a grip case which does take away the look of the phone. - The fingerprint sensor is very fast and accurate however it wont register your print even if your finger is a lil bit wet. Not a problem you can still unlock it by entering a pin. - As far as the waterproof part goes i wont be taking this phone for a swim as sony has made some changes on their website with regards to the IP 65/68. They might not take any responsibility for damages if u completely submerge your phone in water. Also it needs to be kept away from salt water, chlorinated water and liquids such as drinks. Where does the waterproof part that they advertise so much about apply then. Hope you guys find this review useful. Will be posting another one later. Need some more time to fully exploit the other features.

Little expensive but an amazing phone

First of all amazing service by Flipkat :) For the phone 1. The moment you hold the phone its real royal. 2. One of the best in market configuration 3. Camera very good, Flash could have been better (still using pulse LED) 4. Touch very good, Display quality exquisite. 5. Finger print sensor , very accurate. 6. No heating issue till not 7. Yeah little expensive, but if you can by a 32 gb Apple phone with 8 mp camera and non expendable memory, I would rather prefer thing phone. I know Iphone is fast, but I am not sure it is notable. 3 gb of ram can run lot of stuff before you feel the slowness

    Just wow!

If you don't want to compromise with quality and looking for smartphone with all good features like water and dust proof, fingerprint sensor, good camera, expandable memory, good internal memory, fast processing, etc. then this product from Sony is what I suggest.

    Simply awesome

I have had little problems so far. During making calls. The screen shuts down automatically. I have to use the power button to bring it back on, ending the call. Other than this ,i haven't faced much problems . No hanging. Camera is good. Battery life is acceptable.

    Good phone, over priced

Pros: Good design and premium feel, Placement of fingerprint sensor feels perfect. Phone is fast with 3gb ram and snapdragon 810. Rear camera is very good. And love the small apps. being a flagship phone this is only a phone which supports external SD card. cons: No flash for front camera Heating issues during heavy app usage/playing games. Overpriced.

    Good Phone but extremely overpriced

Checked this phone at the sony store and played around with this for 15 min. Here are my initial thoughts 1. Design feels and looks premium. The frosted glass at back is better than all previous xperia versions 2. battery life couldn't test. But camera uses the battery pretty fast 3. heating issue is still there but much less when compared to z3+ 4. screen quality hasnt improved much. There are better LCD screen out there and at much lower price range. 5. Camera performed good inside the showroom under good lighting but you could easily see artefacts around objects. Autofocus is amazingly fast and response time is second to none. Low light photography still needs much improvement in my opinion and a weak flash doesn't help the cause. 6 Audio quality is good but phone backside vibrates on full volume. Ringer volume is average at best. 7 Bundles with quick charger and flip cover can needs to get through xperia lounge which is a hectic procedure. 8. Software is vanilla android like with no extra features as provided by the likes of samsung, LG or even HTC. 9. Priced around 47K I thought it to be very expensive. If it had been priced around 37k it would have been a better buy. 10 fingerprint id coudln't check as i wasn't allowed to set my fingerprint for obvious reasons. Though the feedback from power button itself isn't that great if I compare it to previous generation Xperia's. No wonder samsung guys had much buyers to attend than the sony guys which gave me all that time to play around with this monster of a device. Undoubtedly the best sony yet.
