And the best part being you get 3 year local warranty. All hail perfection ! CONS: The USB 2.0 male connector when connected to a female one, is a bit loose and gets disconnected much often. Apart from that, its a great buy !

Guys This hard-disk is developed by SEAGATE which is further mentioned on the disk; As marketed by Samsung; Quality is good; It is lighter ; Plastic quality is good; descent length of USB3 wire & great speed; As per now i found this one has maximum speed . I bought it for 3999 from flipkart; Biggest advantage; Its having 3 years Local warranty ; & it is having all back-up etc etc softwares for security & back up which is provided by other hard-disk This product consumes very LOW POWER so YOU can use it for mobile use --> it will not eat battery; Guys Wait for your price or else try to buy it from shop AS samsung 3 years gurantee card is there within hard-disk ; Its dealer price is aroud 3300 if you take this in bulk in india like 50 hard-disk

This is one of the cheapest harddisk I found on flipkart. Containing inside Seagate ST1000LM025, I guess that's Seagate momentus class of harddisk with 8mb cache and 5400 rpm, it performs quite stable. Coming with USB 3.0, it has decent width of cable which means long cable life. Average copy speed of file of size 3.2 GB from this was stable at almost 28MBPS Average write speed of same file back to HDD was stable at 22 MBPS. Both the test was done on USM 2.0 ports. No 3.0 ports, but I guess the drive will perform around 45-60 MBPS read on that port. The drive remains cooler than expected after 6.5 hours of continuous usage and that can be because of plastic packaging insulating the heat. I give 4/5 to this hdd because my older Seagate harddisk with USB 2.0 can perform copy/write at 29-31/ 25MBPS speed and I expected equal with 3.0 chip. (Since it was made to run on 2.0 ports) Flipkart service was good; ekart person was very responsible. Product was received in 2 days as expected. I give 4.5/5 to flipkart. They can have packaging of optimized size so it completely fits into packaging and don't vibrate/ move freely inside packaging. Moreover packaging can be better than simple cardboard, but that's not a big issue as long as they delivers product safely without any damage. I checked harddisk health with the harddisk tools and found 100% health as now. Rest depends on how this hdd goes for its first month.

very delicate and pron to damage and believe me there is no service center and no person who will help you out. I got a problem within 5 months "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED" and there is no one who can even entertain me with my problem. SAMSUNG..... AS ALWAYS A VERY VERY VERY POOR POST SALES SERVICE.

Using this product for 2 days now and totally amazed by its performance. First of all I like the look of the product and the rubber pads in the bottom that gives it a good grip on even the slippery surface. It has a seagate HDD inside. Here's what I have found PROS: 1. Nice design. Small but a little thick. 2. Rubber pads provide a sturdy grip on slippery surface. 3. Very good read/write speed USB 2.0 Read/Write : 31MBps/29MBps(Large Files) 15MBps/10MBps(Small Files) USB 3.0 Read/Write : 72MBps/67MBps(Large Files) 42MBps/35MBps(Small Files) 4. Does not heat up. 5. USB cable fits tightly in the micro usb socket. 6. micrro usb 2.0 cables also fits perfectly in the socket. CONS: 1. USB cable is a bit small, but really doesn't matter much for me. Its enough for a portable HDD. I am really happy for buying this product, and thanks again flipkart for bringing such amazing deals.

Got it for INR 6074 using Flipkart's SBI Card Offer. The delivery was done within 3 days from North to South, reaching well before time. The packing was of the usual cardboard box, inside it was wrapped with the air bubble roll. No damages at all anywhere. Samsung's own packing too was very nice. Coming to the product, it is very small for a 2 TB, pretty slim, and looks solid and compact. The added textures on top (same as seen in picture) also feels good. Currently I tested only with a USB 2.0, from which I was getting around 25-30 Mbps. As usual with any 2 TB HDD, 1.81 TB was the available space out of the box. The length of the wire is little less, I found it little difficult to connect to Desktop backside port. Delivery : 5/5 Looks : 4/5 Quality : 4/5 Performance : 4/5 Overall : 4.25/5 UPDATE : This product is actually manufactured by SEAGATE, which officially works with Samsung in Hard Drive Business. The USB 3.0 speed I got is about 55-65 Mbps.

The cord which connects HDD to Laptop is very poor in functioning. It makes a loose connection and HDD is disconnected from laptop which results in failure of HDD as well

Delivery was before delivery date and the product is soo good. I purchased SAmsung M3 Portable 500GB External Hard Drive. Thank you flipkart.

I have been using for 6 months. I found it very handy and useful along with durable. My hdd fell down,however I didnt find any problem. Speed in USB 2.0 with window 8 : 20 to 25 Mbps
