Probably the best phone in the price range. Pros: 1. Fantastic display - AMOLED FULLHD 2. 3gb ram - No heating issues 3. Selfie flash - Good selfie camera with LED flash 4. Good build quality - very good premium build quality 5. Useful Samsung software - ultra data savings, bike mode etc.. Cons: 1. Of the 16gb internal memory only 10 Gb is available for use. If you are looking for a solid Android phone in the 15k price range then go for galaxy on 8.

Ordered on 2 Oct and got 10% Cashback. Now full review of Samsung Galaxy on8 based on usage of my handset. IN THE BOX Phone, Battery, Normal Samsung headphone,Some documents. BUILD QUALITY : 8/10 Excellent build quality with plastic back and removable battery. No squeaking sound or loose fit. DISPLAY : 9/10 One of the best AMOLED display in this price segment. Colours pop out of it. Deep blacks and red colour. I have LETV le 1s, Lenovo vibe k5 note and Redmi note 3 but none of the displays even comes close to Samsung display. BATTERY : 8/10 Good battery backup. I have watched 3 full HD Hollywood movies at a stretch on speaker and got 28% power left but it does not support FAST CHARGING. It takes approx 2.5 hours to charge from 4% to full. You will never face battery problem in day to day use with moderate usage. CAMERA : 9/10 Excellent camera both front and rear.Front camera has flash for night time selfies. Back camera takes good picture during natural lighting and also in artificial room lighting. Much much better than LENOVO,REDMI,LETV,MICROMAX devices. NETWORK AND CALL QUALITY: 9/10 Tested with Jio, Airtel and Vodafone network. Clear sound in both incoming and outgoing calls. Strong WIFI reception with no issues. GAMING : I am a casual gamer and play light games like candy crush, temple run etc . No heating issues and lagging or frame drop issues in these games. But I will leave it for serious gamer to review. PROS: NFC No Heating issues. Good build. Separate Memory card slot and two different Sim slots. Good camera. Removable battery. 3 GB RAM so no lagging issues. CONS: No magnetic sensor, so no compass function. No fingerprint scanner. No fast charging. 16 GB internal storage but support micro SD up to 128 GB. So no memory issues. Back speaker has low volume not for outdoor usage. Hope this review helps you. Thanks.

Display 5/5: Touch is awesome, display too OS awesome. Sound 3/5 - volume could be louder Camera 4/5 - Camera good for taking pictures of sceneries etc, but not faces. Faces tend to be a bid bad. Battery Backup 4/5 - Overall good, heats up a bit when Skype is used or sometimes without any reason(may be some rogue apps consuming CPU). Initially phone used to get heated up a lot, but after applying system updates it was better. Performance 4/5: Free RAM only 1.4 GB available. Charger 3/5: Could have been a better charger and the cord could be lengthy. Earphones 3/5: Just average quality ear phones. Overall a good 4G phone if you don't want Chinese phone.

Great delivery by Flipkart within 2 days. 12. Brand value of samsung Cons 1. No gorilla glass 2. Sim 1 is 4g but Sim 2 is 3g/2g 3. No finger Print sensor 4. Average charging time. No quick charge option 5. Head SAR is satisfactory ( 0.216) but body SAR not given 6. I experienced heating issue when used continuously on net. But solved. Remove sim and sd card. Restore to factory setting. Update software. Now no such heating. 7. Low ringing volume 8. An expansion of J7 model. Overall : We cannot expect the features of a premium phone in this range. The specs of Lenovo, Asus, Xiaomi etc at this range is better than this model. But it is the best phone from Samsung in this price range.

Good budget phone in this range. Got this for 13410 rs. Pros : 1. Super Amoled full HD screen 2. 3gb ram 3. NFC 4. Dedicated memory card slot 5. 3300 mah battery 6. Satisafactory camera 7. Good build & design 8. Did not face any heating issue, as mentioned in some reviews. 9. Front flash 10. Smart alert, Easy mute features 11. Very responsive touch. Cons: 1. Not for hard core gamers 2. Physical home button 3. Speaker volume is clear but a little bit low 4. 2nd sim slot does not support 4G. In some comments it was written that it is a refurbished model, but I checked and found my handset to be brand new. Good delivery by Flipkart, got it in 2 days. Overall, the On8 runs smoothly and handles everyday tasks with ease.

Lite heating but overall good

VFM phone from Samsung. On8 is a good phone. Full HD SUPER AMOLED SCREEN.3300 MAH BATTERY. 3GB RAM & GOOD CAMERA are the highlights. It's okay at 13000 (410 for 32 gb card). And m damn sure will come to 12999 without any offer on flipkart soon. But there are certain CONS too. NO GORILLA GLASS.NO FINGERPRINT SCANNER. NO GYROSCOPE(BIG LETDOWN FOR ME). NO IR BLASTER. NO MAGNETIC SENSOR. Many people here are blaming Samsung for having cheated them by providing A Modified J7. I don't pay two hoots to whether it is rebranded j7/a5/xyz As long as I am getting the specs I want at a great price. So what if it's a repacked j7? Is j7 a bad phone! Certainly not,and much better than other Chinese craps which show their true colours after six months. I appreciate Samsung for this product with this pricing. It's a welcome change from greedy Sammy. Here also they gave 3gb Ram, full hd resolution, but still hold back on above mentioned CONS.(resolution:some are doubting over even this.rest assured ,definitely it's full hd.do you think Samsung is nuts to provide hd & claim as full hd.) even with these most important features that really matter, I would definitely recommend this device for or below 13k, but NEVER for 15-16k! So , for those who have already purchased, greetings on their purchase, for others who missed,just wait for the price to come to 12999 or below,for that price,definitely it's not a bad phone, but is worth every penny. I hope the made in India product doesn't have any quality control issues like other players. Though, till now I haven't spotted any in mine. Hope Samsung adds the remaining few SELLING features to complete the package soon for below 15k as an ON9 or ON8+, which would truly throw away the competition in true sense. It doesn't have fast charging? Maybe yes, as it's showing my 2.1 Amp portronics charger as 'charging via USB, estimated time for full charge 9hours or so..' but surprisingly , its getting charged comparatively faster (below 2 hours maybe) with the 2 Amp port of my TPLINK 10000 Mah powerbank, and at that time not showing as 'USB charging', but as 'AC charging' like provided charger. with provided charger it would easily take 3 hours plus to fully charge. Moral: it does support fast charging, but not thaat fast.

Best....its better than j series...strong network reception....best call clarity....no cons for this phone...for those who say back cover is filmsy..are you gonna eat or play wwe with your phone...about warming...any phone with higher and strong processor warms a little...even the galaxy s7 due to strong processing power...No gorilla glass??Anyways we are going to use Tempered glass....guys i know there are lot of other chinese phones with much huge specifications but buying a branded thing atleast gives you peace of mind and you surely will feel the difference holding a branded thing than a chinese one...and guys even though chinese give huge specification the quality of limited specs of branded is much much higher than them say for screen or your phone after 1 year..it will be same as new one..but not of them.....So relax guys...thankyou...please like the review to move it Up in the helpful list

I have seen in the Negative comments that one of the customer has said that this phone is not working for JIO. It works with the Reliance JIO sim.
