Bought this phone recently from a Samsung store. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I’m pretty much in love with this phone.
What I like:
- Sexy and metallic unibody design (unlike the usual plastic design of Samsung)
- Gorgeous 4.5” Super AMOLED display, with Gorilla Glass 3
- Responsive touch, no lags at all
- Excellent battery life
- Very low SAR value, about 0.34, among the lowest you’d find in any phone. iPhones have SAR values above 1.
- Noise-cancelling microphones
- Non-removable battery – I don't like the hassle of removing the battery to insert the SIM/microSD card
- KitKat 4.4.4 with 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage
- The 5 MP front camera on this phone is just outstanding. The Grand Prime also has a 5 MP camera, but the colors and the quality of images/video are far better in Galaxy A3. I've compared the front cameras of both the phones in the store. A friend also commented that my front cam was really good during a Skype video call.
What I didn't like:
Honestly, there’s nothing that I dislike about this phone. I do wish the phone was slightly thicker – it’s so thin that you sometimes feel it may slip out of your hand. The volume levels are good but could have been better. And the vibration is not as strong as I'd have liked.
Although the Moto G is also a good phone, it's SAR value is almost 1.5 (check the Motorola forum). The camera's on my A3 are also far better than the ones on the Moto G. As for Xiaomi Mi 4, there are so many negative reviews - I'm glad that I went for a trustworthy brand such as Samsung.
If you're still unsure, check out the A3's review on GSMArena.
