    Most bang for your buck

This post is long:) I will not be repeating the features which others have already liked (e.g. the display, camera, gaming speed, storage etc...) All these are good and work well as expected from Samsung phones. The phone does not look cheap from any angle. Some have even confused this with the Galaxy A5, so this says a lot! First, with our Indian Air force issuing some statement in TOI about Chinese phones snooping in on our data, i was reluctant to buy any of these phones mentioned below. Yu, MI, Huawei, Lenovo, Gionee and Micromax (yes, they import these from China)) This phone ticks all the right boxes with Samsung reliability. Second, glad to see this phone being manufactured in India as part of 'Make in India' campaign. Way to go Samsung! The South Korean manufacturer and in general the South Korean industry has grown into a superpower. (LG, Samsung, Hyundai are all shining examples of craftsmanship and quality) The Gold color looks classy. Cover her up with a matching authentic gold flip color from Samsung and you have a phone which turns heads. What more! you get a Samsung S5 design of last year, which is good, considering the bezel lines, chrome touch and minimalist look to this phone. Display is great and does not make you feel that you lose out on the Amoled display. So full marks here. Outdoor visibility can be tuned manually. Speaker quality is good and for those who are complaining, there is an 'Extra volume' option when answering calls. There is also a 'Sound Adapt' feature to tune the phone to your hearing needs. The phone also comes with a 'Smart Manager' to take care of RAM, storage, battery and device security. For enhanced security, you can register your mobile on samsung find my mobile and enable remote tracking on. This will help you to locate your device using GPS. Though i'm yet to use this feature (hopefully not:), the remote tracking feature can also wipe or lock your phone remotely, in case of theft. The usb charger seems to be fragile, so you need to be careful while plugging in. Have also discovered the FM Radio service which is absent in now-a-days phone. This is other than the 'MixRadio' feature which does online streaming. So like old days, you can listen to your favourite FM channel on the go without a 3G or 4G connection. Wow! i now can listen to my favourite songs and can record these too on my device. So go for it. It is definitely worth every rupiah (penny) PS: if you found this review useful, give me a thumbs up

    Awesome phone.

Hello friends, I am writing this review after 2 days of usage. I always compare/read reviews before buying any products. Pros: *It arrives in style via ekart. *Flipkart packing is very nice and protective. *Weight of phone including battery is quiet light. *Look and feel is very much attractive, my colleagues compared with their expensive samsung phones, this phone also looks of same segment. *Fine details on edge looks posh, it gets broader at the bottom, overall it is great. *UI and 5.1 lollipop is simple and very organised. *Music setting has a feature called Adapt sound, it enable every individual to fine tune the amount of sound for both ears, so that it suites you best without hurting your eardrums. The earphone which come is bad for music lovers, try getting your best brand's headphone, I use sony xb400 (old one, that time price was aprx 2K) it bounces nice. ;) * Apart from this every feature is nicely blended to cooperate daily life activities. *There is no heating issue yet. *This phone is definitely value for money product. Cons: *No notification lights. *No themes *Less default wallpapers

Samsung On5 - A good phone with average speaker quality.

Initial Review: What I liked: + SAR Value of 0.551 W/Kg. + 5" large screen looks great inspite of TFT display. + Excellent Camera - Front and Back. + Decent performance, no lag noticed so far. + Android 5.1 + Good build quality with premium finish. + No bloatware. What I didn't like: - Average Speaker. Wish it was louder, crisper and in the front. - No Notification light. Why Samsung why? - No Ambient Light Sensor. - A little expensive considering the Redmi 2 is available for Rs. 5999. If you are big on music, the speaker quality will disappoint you. No excuse for not adding notification light and better quality speaker for the price. Redmi 2 is a superior VFM phone, but since I as buying it for my father - the low SAR value was a big selling point including the big screen and the Samsung brand value.

Good looks n prfrmance, Avg CAM, below Avg touch sensitivity

I have bought the Gold version of On5. The phone looks very good and feels premium. However its just a average phone. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: Display - 5 inch HD dislplay is clear and has vibrant colors. Ofcourse not as impressive as 1080p screens but for 720p it totally is impressive. Even if the display is a TFT screen and not IPS or Amoled, the display is still convincing and has good color reproduction. I am happy with the display. and 5 inch is perfect not too big not too small. Looks - The look of this phone even though similar to many other samsung models, it still looks good. Looks is the department which this phone worth 9k totally kills it. Looks premium for a 9k phone. SAR - This is one of the best thing about this phone. The SAR value is just 0.551 W/Kg. This is good for people who talks a lot on phone. Performance: This has a 32 bit Exynos chip. On paper it seems that 32 bit wont be that impressive. But i must say I am impressed with the performance. I play WWE immortals game, which is a very heavy game and it runs fine on my On5. The performance of WWE immortal is same or slightly greater on ON5 as compared to Lenovo K3 note. Yes K3 note being of 2 gb ram 64 bit processor, still is same or sometimes lower in performance than On5. I would say 1.5 gb ram is enough and can seriously compete with other 2 gb ram phones in this price category. No/less Heating - This phone has no major heating issues. I am a very heavy user. I play clashof clans, WWE Immortals and may other games on my phone. WWE Immortals game is enough for you to test if your handset heats up. I play this game for long time and it becomes warm but never too hot to conclude a heating issue. In normal usage it doesnt heats up at all. When i used K3 note it got heated up in just 5-10 mins and and also the screen heated so much that it was almost unusable. There is no such issue with On5. Battery: Battery performance is awesome. Easily lasts for 24 hours or more in heavy to moderate usage. With Wifi turned on all the time and heavy to moderate usage i get 24 hrs of usage from 100% to 10% and in this time i get 5 - 6 hrs of screen on time. This is very good in my opinion. Camera (Only Outdoors) - The photos clicked in bright day ligh in outdoors are good to average. Not extraordinary but just acceptable for an 8mp/5mp camera. UI desing - The touchwiz UI is good, well designed with almost no bugs. The UI is smooth, no lags in normal usage. I have always liked the samsung touchwiz UI. Feels a bit premium. CONS: Touch sensitivity: Touch is pathetic. Almost the deal breaker. YES, the deal breaker. You will feel it in normal usage as well. Most of the times you will have to touch again twice or thrice to perform an action. While entering the password on lock screen it is very much likely that you might miss a letter/number or two. This is also noticed while playing games because of which you end of losing sometimes. And then it becomes frustrating. And the fact that even cheaper mobiles like Redmi 2 or redmi 2 prime has a super impressive touch as compared to this one. This adds up to your frustration. Camera (Indoors) - The camera qulaity indoors is pathetic. When i got it delivered and was checking cam quality i was like WTF. Seriously?. And was disppointed. Only the outdoor camera pics keeps me satisfied. But still is just average overall. Internal storage: The internal storage is 8gb out of which only 4 gb is user available. So you have only 4 gb for apps. The Apps are not completely movable to external SD card. Only few apps give that moving option and even the apps that give this option moves only a small amount of app data to external, A huge part of the app is still located on the Internal storage. So yes, internal storage is a issue here. Sensors - There are only 2 sensors, wiz. Accelerometer and Proximity Sensor. No other sensors like ambient light sensor or gravitational sensor are present. This means no Auto-Brightness, no Compass, no Virtual reality videos, no Cardboard, etc... 2 point touch - On5 only has 2 point touch and not 5 point touch unlike other phones in this price bracket. This hampers your gaming experience and may also affect if few tasks wants you to have more than 2 touches simultaneously. Final Verdict - This is a branded, premium looking phone with good performance in normal day to day usage. battery is also good. However, most dissapointing this is the touch which makes the daily experience worst. And also the absense of very common features like 5 point touch, auto brightness, compass, virtual realuty video support makes it a phone which we may avoid.
