It is a brilliant phone for the price. 3 GB memory handles most of the tasks thrown at it. It can handle most games like Asphalt etc.
The audio output is good, but Dolby Atmos, when activated, just adds another dimension to the output through headsets. There are no headsets in the package, so it would be good to invest in a good headset like Senheiser or SkullCandy if you really are passionate about music. (You can buy a Bose, but why you'd buy this phone if you could afford a Bose is beyond me) For normal listeners, a good branded headset like Philips should work well.
Camera is good for most situations, though you need to wait a wee bit for it to get the focus right at the point you want. I guess all the others who have given this camera a bad rating are professional experts who need the power of high end cameras in their phones.
Now to the point of overheating. The updates that are downloaded when the phone connects to the internet handle that completely. The phone did not overheat even without the updates, so I assume the phone was updated before it was shipped. However it is a good practice to update the phone regularly. Minor heating when playing games for more than an hour is expected, so no surprises there.
Now the only drawback I found was the lack of protective glass, either Dragon glass or gorillaglass on the screen. Given the propensity of phones to fall, it would be good to invest in a tempered glass cover. The package also includes a plastic back cover that fits the phone well and does not add to its bulk. Again, good practice to keep that cover on.
Some suggestions: use an antivirus, a cleaner app and add a SD card in the expansion slot. That should keep it rocking for a long time.
I think most of the complaints on this site are either out of immaturity or impatience. This is a great phone for the price and I would definitely recommend it.
