+ Good looks + Headphones jack + Suitable for movies, games. - Sound clarity devastatingly poor. - Bass is there but muddy and suppressing overall sound clarity. - Tested on Realtek onboard 892 and Asus Xonar DX sound cards but same result. Tweaking Equalizer couldn't do much. - Not suitable for music, mixing. Verdict: Not worth the price. Bass is not clean, just boosting low frequency and suppressing mids and highs. 500-600 Rs worth Creative speakers would do lot better. I primarily needed a speaker for monitoring the songs before mixing. Didn't have high expectations but wanted sound to remain at least flat if not with the bass boasted on Philips website keeping other sound effect clean. These speakers offer bass but not that bass where you get good beats with crisp treble and decent mids. The bass here is like you open Winamp, max first two bars and minimize rest all. So you get that pounding bass but losing other important elements of sound. I don't expect an audiophile level sound from 1K speakers but these don't even match 400-500 Rs. Creative speakers quality. Second time relied on Philips but on both occasions nothing but muddy bass comes at the cost of other sound effects. in a room sound busts at high volumes. works fine till 70% volume in a normal windows media player. not a good one at this price go with another speakers
