TP-LINK TL-WR720N 150 Mbps Wireless N Router

Thanks for flipkart for their exceptional service... i am very much impressed Pros: - Slim design; minimal footprint. - The interface to the router is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. - The help descriptions provided on each page are very detailed so it should be fairly easy for anyone (technical or not) to understand what a particular setting does or affects.  - Up to date security. I'm currently using a fairly high end router and this one, which is 1/10th the price, is on equal grounds in regards to security options. (ie locking down and securing your wireless connection.)  - No drops/network hiccups over the 3 days I tested the router. Cons: - Range isn't bad, but it's not great either. I had coverage in the house but noticed once I was outside the signal started to become unreliable. If you're in an apartment or a small to mid-sized house you should be good, but don't plan on lounging by the pool with a strong signal. - Only 2 LAN ports and they're not gigabit, but intended by design to keep price down. While I personally consider these to be cons of the router, I can't deduct any eggs for them as this router was made to be simple and inexpensive. Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure what to expect from an entry level router at this low of a price point. And please don't confuse entry level with cheap, as this product is far from it!  And to be fair you can't compare this router to any of the high end models if you're looking for dual band wireless with X number of gigabit ports and advanced features. It's not looking to nor was it designed to compete with those. However if you have no need for that and just want something simple to setup, doesn't cost much, and just works then you really can't go wrong here. Heck, you probably won't (and possibly can't) get much better then this at a sub Bottom line: If you need an easy to setup router, have a handful of wireless devices, and no need for coverage outside the walls of your house/apartment then stop looking. This router will get the job done with some cash left over to buy a few more toys.

Bought it as i noticed the price was low all of a sudden, and price went up to 1010 next day.Packed well ordered on Sat received tuesday night. Coming to the router: i already have cisco, asus and Tp links at home This is a small router size wise not tiny but smaller than the average router. I like the design too Performance: Hmmm this is a N150 mbps router not N300 Range can definitely go past two walls, once signal passes 3rd wall Zero signal!! Two ports at the rear No power switch Very nice looking as i plan to wall mount it. Remember this does not contain a modem. For the price its Ok cannot expect too much. How ever if your looking to buy this as a primary router look else where If your looking to extend the present Wifi using wired ethernet its perfect. Oddly you need to login to the address on the router sticker base to access admin page not 192.168.1.1. There is no specific repeater wifi mode in the admin page, probably makes setting up as a wifi repeater a bit difficult. Overall happy. Please note wifi signal strength depends on the wall thickness and number of wall in between.what works for you need not work me and vice versa
