TP-LINK TL-WN851ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Network Interface Card

I purchased this from somewhere else, but it doesn't work with Windows 8 or 8.1. It runs fine on Windows 7 though, and has good speed and moderate reception. UPDATE: Some users seem to convince here that it works well with Win8, but it's not. It sometimes work with x86 install of Win8 for a very few systems. Never worked for me on x64 and on Win8.1. It's outdated and should be avoided. UPDATE 2: Some unaware users(probably tp-link employee/beneficiary) only commenting for me writing x64, dude wake up. x86_64 is called x64 in MS ecosystem and and this term is so popular that you can't correct the whole world, unless you are Bill Gates with a Time Machine :) Quote from Wikipedia - "Some in the industry, including Apple, use x86-64 and x86_64, while others, notably Sun Microsystems (now Oracle Corporation) and Microsoft, use x64 while the BSD family of OSs and several Linux distributions use AMD64."

got this product before 1 hr, just installed in my mobo.. no need to install any driver for windows 8. at first it didn't detect dis card, but after restarting my system working fine.. now i'm writing this review 4m my PC by connecting internet through dis product.. I got 4 out of 5 bars in signal strength.. dis room was 22 feet away 4m my belkin g router and have 2 intermediate walls..

I don't know about others but for me it is not working. Though my system detects it, connects through wifi network but the signal strength it got is very poor. Also it disconnects in between. I could not find any driver for windows 8.1 on official site.
