SoundMagic ES 18 Wired HeadphoneBlack, In the Ear

i bought sound magic es 18 in the month of April at the cost of 799. The product is descent. But today i experienced a problem with this earphone. The left side of the earphone stopped working abruptly. i called the flipkart customer care & they told that flipkart only gives 1 month replacement warranty from their side, the other 6 months warranty is from manufacturer. so the customer care representative gave me 2 phone numbers to contact sound magic guys. but both numbers were inactive. In the next conversation with another representative, the guy told me to find out sound magic's service center here in india & asked me to check their website as there is no further help that they can do from their side. I knew at that point that i am going nowhere with this but was left with only one option to check their website. i found nothing on sound magic's website.[Shocked] The next thing i searched for was "sound magic customer care" and the 1st hit that i got said, their is only 1 service center and that to it is only in delhi.[Another Shocker] so for the rest part of india. sound magic doesnt exist itself and the contact no that was mentioned on that web page was the same 1 as the 1st flipkart cc representative gave me.[no Wonder from where the flipkart guys got the All in one SM contact no] The comments on that webpage mentioned the same problem that i noticed with mine, "left side of earphone not working'. if you want to confirm what i am saying go ahead check it yourself. Search "Sound magic customer care", click on the first link and u will see the same. so the bottom line is their is no support for es 18 & any other Sound magic product here in india. so now i have a product which is well under warranty & i have a problem with it but their is hardly anything that i can do to avail it.

Got these recently. These earphones are really nice. Noise cancellation is pretty good. And the clarity is neat too. Its best for who wants to hear good quality music for cheap price. The box includes: >2 Xtra silicone eartips. >A small POUCH for the earphones[yay :P] >>[Nice as other brands dont give for such cheap price.] >Warranty card. Pretty Neat Stuff. The delivery was fast too. I didnt know Flipkart had their own delivery service. Got the product on the 3rd Day itself.

I would first like to thank flipkart for the excellent delivery service,the headphones reached within 48 hrs well packed. My rating : 5 stars ...JUST GO FOR IT COMPARISONSs: Panasonic RP-HJE120E-K Headphone: My roommate owns the above Panasonic head-phones and lets say SOUND MAGIC ES-18 is LEAGUES AHEAD.ES-18 is better in every aspect PERIOD.Also these are pretty fragile and ugly. Sennheiser MX 170 Earphones: I haven't used this model but it doesn't offer NOISE CANCELLATION.Also it's design causes ear-ache after prolonged use. Skullcandy S2DUDZ-012 In-the-ear Headphone: These headphones are ONLY GOOD LOOKING.Nothing else CONTENTS and DESIGN: the Headphones came with a 1-yr Warranty and 1 nice pouch.The pouch seems perfect for carrying in the pockets as well without looking cheap. the design looks pretty sturdy and feels comfortable in the ear.I ran around the house with these on they didn't fall off.The red and black color looks good but not nearly as good as the skull candy models.For looks the green-black model is more appealing. TESTING:(With Sony Xperia LIVE WITH WALKMAN) Volume : GOOD ENOUGH The maximum volume is loud enough.It's actually so loud that you might never need it at all.There are no distortions induced on higher volumes.I prefer 2 below maximum for the best experience. QUALITY:GODLIKE The 1st thing that struck me was the PROFOUND BASS sound.It stands out clear and without distortions. The guitar crunch is on the softer side.I love it since it avoids any irritation or headache and keeps the guitar sound extremely clear and sufficient.NOTHING UNNECESSARY.(great for enjoying riffs...but the guitar distortions won't give any surround effect..bass kinda makes up for that). IDEAL FOR METAL/RAP/HIP-HOP ENTHUSIASTS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ROCK ENTHUSIASTS DRUMS,VOCALS,KEYBOARD all these instruments were right where they should be..just excellent. Even drum's CRASH didn't induce any distortions or ear irritation. NO HEADPHONES COMPARE TO THESE IN THE PRICE RANGE....If Rs 500 is your budget..buy these without a second thought.
