D-Link DWR-111-3G Router with WAN Auto FailureBlack

Hi, I bought his device from flip kart after a day or two search.This device can be useful for two things 1.To share your Broadband internet connection 2.To share your 3G dongle internet connection(for device compatibility check with Dlink before buying as it is new model the device details are not available in internet. Note:You cant share the internet through a wired connection to more than one device as it has only one LAN port. You can connect to N number of wireless devices at a download speed of some 100-150 mbps speed and the signal strength is very low even when I move to the next room.(I am not sure how to increase it) As I did my setup with a broadband connection here is the procedure to do that. 1.Switch on the router and Connect the Broad band cable(RJ45 cable) to the Blue color WAN port 2.Now you can manage your device with any WiFi enabled device. 3.From your laptop or smart phone connect to the router's WiFi with the default name like "dlink dwr 111" 4.Go to the browser and login to the router GUI page 192.168.0.1 with user name : admin, password: blank (Set a password ASAP) 5.Under setup tab go the "wireless settings", click "Manual wireless network setup" and then in the new window you see the network name, change the name if u need it. 6.In Security Mode drop down and choose "WPA-personal" 7.Then under WPA, don't change any settings. 8.Change the Pre-shared key with a more secured password(Note: this is the password to login from a unknown device.) 9.Save the settings and it may take some 50s to save the settings and it may reboot also 10.Go the browser and open any website, it should automatically take you the broadband login page. Once you give the password it is ready to access the internet and any further devices which logs in to the same Wifi router will not ask for this broadband login and it will be directly connected to internet until the current sessions expires. Has 3 year warranty unlike DWR-113 router which has only 1 year warranty CONS: 1. It has a power adapter so you can't use it with a power bank to carry with you. You need to have a power socket to make it work If you are looking for 3G router that is portable and easy to use AND that supports UNLOCKED DATA CARDS the you should go for it.
