Strontium Nitro 64 GB MicroSD Card Class 10 85 MB/s Memory Card

PRODUCT OVERVIEW: I purchased the Strontium Nitro 64GB Class10 UHS1 MicroSDXC Card as a bundle along with a SGS4 GT-I9500 and Flipkart shaved off 20% of the retail price of the card straight away. In other words, I got an unbeatable price! I received the card only yesterday and I haven't used it enough to test the performance thoroughly. I will endeavour to update this when I have a detailed performance review ready. Some things to note, though: - This is a MicroSDXC (Secure Digital Xtended Capacity) card. It may not work on devices that support only MicroSDHC (Secure Digital Xtended Capacity) cards. You may do well to check if your device supports cards using the exFAT file system. - Your device will recognise only about 59 GB of storage and not 64GB. This is because the manufacturers quote decimal values of storage (1000B = 1KB, 1000KB = 1MB, 1000MB = 1GB etc.) while the device reads in binary values (1024B = 1KB, 1024KB = 1MB, 1024MB = 1GB etc.) - The quoted 566X or 85MB/s speed is in fact only the read speed. The write speed is significantly lower. Although unless you're using the card for HD videography or similar purposes, the speed will seldom be a concern. In the package: - Strontium Nitro 64GB MicroSDXC card - Strontium USB card reader - Strontium MicroSD adapter - License key to Rerware's MyBackup Pro app (Android only) Pros: - comes with a bundled USB card reader and MicroSD adapter. Personally, I love that it comes with a very small, very portable USB card reader. It makes the card so much more PC-ready. - boasts great read/write speeds - great build quality and security - water proof, temperature proof, magnet proof and x-ray proof - lifetime warranty Cons: - Couldn't verify if card has EEC (electronic error checking) - None other readily apparent

People complaining about less storage than mentioned should know that 64GB really means 64000 bytes, not in computer science, but thats how its manufactured. Marketing it as 58.5GB wouldn't seem very nice. aaand, you cannot attain 85MBps unless you're using a USB 3.0 card reader. Saying that the card is faulty is not right. Around 35MBps is the practical maximum attainable in a USB 2.0 connection, showing thst the card saturated the old standard. For this price, this card offers very good value for money.

I have been using the product for a month now. It works great. Read and write speeds are upto the mark.
