I had been using this phone for the last couple of days and below are my comments. These are not very detailed but just thought would post which may help your decision making process. Pros: Screeen - IPS makes it stunning than many of the other flagship models as well Z1. Processor - Ultra Fast due to 801 Chipsets. Never hangs or heats up. Ram - 3 GB ram which makes the device super fast. Weight - Extremely well built and you really feel this phone lighter even in pockets. Battery - 3 Days in Stamina Mode (very useful) and 1.5 days on normal usage with 3G, Listening to songs and other regular activities. No problems faced. Very impressed. LED Indicator - Well placed and very useful. Sound Quality - Amazing with and without headphones both for calls and audio. Wireless connectivity - Awesome. Con's Nothing much. Some may feel the phone to be little larger, this definitely smaller than a Note 3. Smartband Very useful accesory that can track every moment of your life. Getting used to it only now. Tracks how much walk, speak, listen to music, sleep, burn calories etc etc.. very useful if worn 24/7. This phone is definitely worth the investment against the other flagship models that are currently available and this includes S5 and HTC M8 (One 2)

And here comes the REAL thing Xperia has defined what Xperia-nce is all about in android. This has been much awaited and sony did not disappoint at all. We all know about the snapdragon, the screen, cam and other great features of the phone but what makes it a winner is Constant innovation in the design unlike plastic band aid design that looks like 5 thousand rupee phones. You really feel proud to carry this around. It looks premium and has a strong accessorial quotient. 3gb of RAM No bloatware stuffed UI that some korean companies are trying to sell as path breaking innovation. The Sony UI is simplistic and oriented with respect to convenience and fast operation. It is really waterproof and not just spill proof unlike a plastic phone Music and movies, i mean especially the sound is a SONY thing. You need to experience it Image stabilization Lot of available RAM coz UI is not an overkill with bloatware No cheating in internal memory. You get almost 16 gb It is said that making a brand is about making great things and a little talking. However some leading companies are doing the opposite and thinking they will survive forever. No, they have already started to go down and hard work and a will to make something good, will only survive and this is what Sony has done with Z2. Z2 is not a phone, its a story of triumph. It is a story that describes how to win a market that was flooded with cheap plastic phones being sold at unreasonable prices with people going mad over them. From having almost no market to having a significant market share and respectable position; this is what Sony has done in the last 2 years in India. Marketing without substance does not last forever. Don't think that Indians can be fooled again and again with nonsense plastic phones. One needs to respect their customer and give them the best they can make. They should learn from Sony. I still feel the price is a bit more.. but looking at the popular competitors, a premium and genuine device priced little higher makes sense.

It is shame that sony is not shipping it with noise cancelling buds.. In retail package they got MH410c. which is useless for even casual use I dont know why they do it to customers of India. But still it reamins an impressive set. 1 less star for no decent earbuds

Got this phone finally and here goes my review about it, 1. The Design - Looks stunning, they have managed to decrease the size of the bezel at the same time increasing the screen size resulting in a Glossy, Premium look, sleek and better handling of the phone. Still it looks identical to Z1 2. Display - The usage of IPS LCD certainly results in a Greater viewing angle, color reproduction, sharper images and vivid display but the brightness has been compromised. Display is clear and its not over-saturated, It may look dull under direct sunlight but that is negligible since most of the time we had use the phone inside the room. 3. Performance - Snapdragon 801 with 3 Gigs of RAM is a turbo boost of this device there is no lag at all. UI is very smooth, Can able to play high-end games without pauses, benchmark is also good for this mobile. 4. Camera - One of the reason to buy this Magneficient phone. I really enjoy taking snaps with this phone. Camera feature is top notch in this phone amongst other competitors in the same class. There are several modes available to try out which are enjoyable and useful 5. Sound - It comes with stereo speakers, quality is good but not great. Gotta admit that Sound clarity via in-ear headphones is awesome( In-ear Noise cancellation headphones are not packed with Indian version) 6. Battery - With 3200mAH battery backup is really good it really lasts long more than a day even though with high usage like gaming, Internet, Phone calls etc..Stamina mode is really helpful 7. Smartband - It is really cool and it logs every activities that you do. Hope sony updates it regularly with many more apps Few things could've been better and those are, 1. Looks identical to Z1. At first glance you surely wont notice the difference between Z1 and Z2 2. Micro sd card can be upgraded to 64GB but the international version of this phone can be upgraded to 128GB. Just saying this because we can shoot 4k videos now and for sure it'll consume a lot of space 3. There is no support for 4G which may not be so important to many of them but surely it would have attracted few more since other phones at this same price tag is 4G Compatible 4. In-ear noise cancellation headphones were not provided which was replaced with a smartband. 5. No IR blaster which is another disadvantage And I wanna add certain things, * If you are not ready to buy this phone because of the hefty price tag can very well wait until the price goes down * I bet you all know that this is an IP58 certified phone so please do not post false reviews like it is not waterproof or as such * Most of the smartphones heats up while playing HD games, using 3g, being in a call for long time its very common * Finally, if you have no interest in buying this phone or any other better do not rate it unless its for a genuine reason since these ratings affects not only the product's overview but also who prefers to buy it. P.S - The above review is just my personal opinion :)

Ok first of all, if you have a Z1, no use upgrading to the Z2. It's very expensive but hopefully the prices will come down after 2-3 months. If you still want a beautiful phone like this under budget, you can always choose the Xperia Z. It comes for under 28K. The display of Z is also good unless you plan to use it some crazy viewing angles. Phones this pricey will not sell very well in developing nations. Sony must learn something from their past mistakes and get the price down to under 40K. Or else they will surely lose to the competition. Also I recommend not buying phones as soon as they arrive because most of them have some sort of problems which will be corrected after a few user complaints.

So finally Xperia Z2 is in the market. It's late because Sony's had some trouble getting the Xperia Z2 into stores, missing its original early April release. Anyway, talking about the phone it's one of the best android smartphone you will get. Pros- * For photography enthusiast this is must buy. It has excellent camera. The Z2 provides lot of customizable camera feature more than any other smartphone. And also 4K recording is possible. * The screen has improved a lot. Not only it has bumped the size from 5 inches on the Xperia Z1 to 5.2 inches, it's also implemented IPS LCD technology which gives much better viewing angles & provides much natural colours unlike the Galaxy S5's over saturated display. * Top of the line snapdragon hardware. 3Gb RAM! No doubts in the performance. All graphics intensive games can be played without lags. * Waterproof/Dustproof. Incredible battery life. Excellent design of glass & metal. But there is not so much improvement in the design but it looks premium. Cons- * No cons. It's a simple smartphone. It has no headlining feature which will make it stand out. But In comparison, the S5 don't have snapdragon & even S5 lags a lot in performance. The Z2 beats the Htc one M8 in camera. M8 lacks of 4K recording. So over all Z2 does excellent job. Well packaged. A free wearable device, Case & free Michael Jackson's latest album which makes this deal pretty sweet actually. If you're looking for an all round top performer, the Xperia Z2 is great of all. ** But if u already own an Xperia Z1 then you will hardly notice difference except the camera,screen & little bit performance. **

Sony has this time made the chance to be the best brand of all mobiles phones by launching Xperia z2 (Awesome Phone). I will Indicate All Points below: 1) Awesome Look ---(killer) Feel like king,when you hold that phone.. 2) I kept it for 1 hour on water and it was like A mermaid,Nothing Happened to it...Though in z1 speakers use to decrease for sometime,but no problem with z2 . 3) Super Fast speed,Never hangs 4) Awesome Audio Quality Of Twin Speakers....( Those are Knoobs who say speakers are not good ). 5) Loved The Inbuilt Answering machine,it works Awesome. 6) Upgrade to the latest update and phone will stop heating as some users are facing problems.Too much processing heats any phone :p though sony was able to cope up with that up-to a great limit ... :) 7) Smart Band is really smart,Its best alarm clock and call reminder :p ..You will never miss any calls and always wake-up on time :). smart band also controls music remotely :p.. 8) Camera omg :p Unbelievable Quality....I record a 4k video and played on my screen ,seems like a super high blue ray print., i saw some people facing problems in recording 4k videos but i didn't got any problem,,i recorded 5 minute video and it was awesome :) Its best phone of this Era,Must buy and get the feel of a premium phone with quality :p ... Samsung is gone i think,, Message for samsung--->>> Idiots stop making just rectangular phones...go for some design also..I buyed s5 and people say while looking in my hand that its samsung grand :p So its a big disrespect...This is show world and anything needs to look awesome with quality also to be a success...... Weldone sony for differentiating your phones in hands:p Your xperia is easily detected as xperia z2 in eyes of people :) Best phone and must buy... samsung is gone.. Its the best phone in terms of quality and quantity I have ever encountered so far, it beats the hell outta galaxy S5 which is selling their exonys processors in india and making customers fool. This phone delivers what it offers, a great premium experience, The only downside with indian version is exclusion of 4G and only 64GB expandable memory, which i suppose should not be a problem because 4G is not available in whole country save 1 or 2 cities. Its simply the best android flagship in present time. and though it is costly and most people compare the flagship phones to nexus 5 like me, but its way too ahead, it has got superior camera, superior sound and earphones, 3GB ram, a better processor, water proof, dust resistant, a great premium design, what else to ask for?

Hi all, heard this mobile is coming with noise cancellation headphones? Is that only for the European countries or the worldwide release has it?

as always, Phones in India are greatly Band Reduced. And all the marketing hype and buzz combined with an unaware audience implies buyer beware. everywhere in the world the Z2 is penta band 3G plus 6 band 4G. But in Indya these things are toooo techy for a dumd down audience apparently. Note: the price is same as international price but it's a dumbed down product for dumbed down audience at the same high price as "outside". No one notices.
